About Old Military Road
Essex County Department of Public Works has completed preliminary design for the reconstruction of Old Military Road (Phase 1) from west of the intersection with Carolyn Road to John Brown Road (southern connection). The project is being funded under the New York State Transportation Improvement Program. As a result, 80% federal, 15% state, and 5% county funds will be utilized for this project. The current estimated construction cost is $8.3 million.
Essex County Department of Public Works is administering the project with NYSDOT oversight.
