Capital Improvements
In December of 2006, a $16.9
million referendum passed to provide various repairs at the
Junior/Senior High School and the Mackenzie Elementary
School in the Eldred
Central School District. Additions and repairs included:
At the Junior/Senior High School
A new music suite addition,
including classrooms, music/instrument storage areas, and
ADA accessibility
A new science
suite addition, including a biology/chemistry room, physics/earth
science room, and ADA accessibility
An addition to include
three new general classrooms
Sitework that includes repaving
the track and constructing a handicapped ramp;
designing a new bus turnaround area; prepaving the driveway,
parking lots, and sidewalks; repairs to the leaching field

kitchen addition to include a walk-in cooler/freezer
Classroom
renovations
Extensive bathroom repairs throughout
the building
Extensive mechanical, electrical,
and plumbing repairs
At the Mackenzie Elementary
School
Rebuilding
structural walls in the gymnasium
Replacing windows, roofs,
and doors
Sitework that includes
repaving the entry drive and providing accessible playground
surfacing
