for the replacement structure at Edwards Road over Big Creek
in the Town of Pitcairn, St. Lawrence County,
NY. This structure is a 36 foot long, three-sided precast
concrete rigid frame superstructure with concrete wing walls
founded on concrete
footings cast adjacent to steel sheet pilings to protect
against stream scour and erosion. The structure and approaches
are constructed with
asphalt concrete for the traffic wearing surface. The St.
Lawrence County Highway Department bridge crew was responsible
for the construction
of this structure.
