County
Route 71 Bridge Replacement over Stoney Creek
The project included
construction inspection services via a resident engineer and
NICET level
III inspector. This bridge
is a 56 foot, single-span steel stringer and concrete deck
superstructure with integral abutments on steel H. piles. Steel
sheet piling was used for the wingwalls and scour protection
for the abutments. Approximately 300 ft. of approach pavement
reconstruction was required for this project. An off-site detour
using local and county roads was created to safely route traffic
around the project site.
