Green Apartments - Glens Falls, NY
This project includes
the demolition of an aging, 136-unit multi-family housing complex
and the construction
of 136 multi-family affordable housing units, consisting of
1, 2, 3, and 4 bedrooms. This multi-phased project required
a design that would not displace any existing tenants during
the construction phase.
The new development
includes two-story townhouses and a three-story building that
incorporates architectural shake and vinyl siding, brick entry
and fiberglass trim. The three-story building design includes
traditional and frail elderly apartment units, a community
room, leasing office, public laundry, maintenance workshop,
mechanical/electrical room, laundry room and trash compactor.
A separate maintenance facility was also included.
Engineering design services
included site layout plans which provided new roadways; parking
lots; grading; water, sewer and stormwater systems; site lighting;
walkways; traffic signs; dumpsters; comunity mailbox areas;
landscaping; and ADA accessible ramps.
