Zoological Gardens -- South American Rainforest Exhibit
Foit-Albert Associates
designed this $16 million immersive walk-through natural habitat
exhibit with a South American rainforest theme. The 15,000
SF, fully enclosed tropical rainforest building provides the
Zoo with a signature, four-season attraction. Home to more
than 30 species including exotic reptiles, birds, monkeys and
giant anteaters, the rainforest will be kept at an average
temperature of 80 degrees. A 30-foot waterfall completes the
tropical exhibit.
