County Route 125 Shoreline Stabilization

Provided design and surveying services to help stabilize the shoreline running along County Road 125. This area, located at Point Salubrious on Lake Ontario, has a history of turbulent weather which has played a significant role in creating hazardous conditions on this essential road.

The pre-repair section of shoreline was a low, weathered bedrock vertical bluff that varies in height from 3' to 15' throughout its 1200' length. Heavy wave and ice action eroded and undercut the bluff, thus jeopardizing this existing road section and properties.

Foit-Albert Associates prepared the FEMA application and developed several options on how to best deal with the erosion problem. Also provided were the financial costs of each option, final plans, specifications and engineer's estimate, bidding support and shop drawings.
